Composed at Stevens Creek Heritage Preserve. They have some rare plants and a whole bunch of these at the right time of the year.

From my blog The Artist's Story:
"I got lucky with the bokeh in my Stevens Creek Shooting Star piece. Not only is it very blurred, but the color and shadow gradations create an impression of motion; like the flower was zipping past me when I captured it. I also love the color and detail in and around the ring area...."

Techs:
Canon 5DMkIII
F/22
0.6 seconds
ISO-100
180mm
No Flash
Gitzo tripod
Arca Swiss B1

Very nice indeed- well done!

Thank you both for looking and the comments. :-)

Cool! Are the petals always like that or do they come forward?

Brent,
I'm not an expert, but I think they always go back. Let's put it this way, I've only ever seen them like that. :-)
