the chicken thing is scary, but it's an awesome picture.
Maybe one day, I'll get to the point to shoot these close-ups stuff.

The australian chicken is actually a Curlew (looks like a Bush-Stone Curlew to be more precise). They are awesome looking bird, i particularly love their eyes. The beauty of these birds is they prefer to rely on their camoflauge rather then flee and will sit motionless and lay down (like what the photo is showing) to try and make them look like i log (i'm assuming). Anyway you can get real close to these birds and the only thing they'll do is start hissing real loud if they think your to close.

If i can find some i'll post some of my shots of this bird (i actually took some yesterday, but they were with my fathers digital, and didn't turn out to well (digital zoom's a killer).
