Thanks! He avoided me all day long. He thought I was gone but then saw me behind my blind (hence the crouching going on). All day long and only two photos of him.

4 and 5 are great shots! you can bring out a bit more detail on 5 if you work with it a bit in your editing program

Thank you Chito! I did work on them but obviously not enough. :blushing: I'm trying to learn how to use the editor but I'm flying by the seat of my pants.

Aw, I love watching birds!

We used to have a wonderful large backyard with giant trees that provided a great home for many birds, but we moved into a bigger house sacrificing the yard... No trees = no birds :(

Haha, sorry for my random complaining, lol

Great shots! I'd sharpen them a bi, if possible. Some of them could also use a bit of a crop...

So sorry K8! I would hate giving up my property! I have birds galore here.

Chito,
Sadly I do not have PS. Hopefully one day I will break down and buy it. Right now I'm using the program that came with the Canon 50D and I'm pretty handy with Paint Shop Pro. For the last 11+ years, PSP is all I've ever used on websites.

I'm an old fart who doesn't like change.

Totally off subject so my apologies in Advance!

I was playing last night with candlelight. I had to do something while the birds slept! I've never tried nighttime photos so I thought...what the heck! But, it's times like these when I wish I had Photo Shop. I know there is a way to isolate the purple in the ribbon. I was disappointed because the purple is very important. I kept adding more candles trying to bring out the purple, but it didn't work.

If you like paint shop pro download Paint.net its free and very nice work flow with a great bunch of options.

Paint.NET - Download

I tried and tried to match yours but still couldn't match it exactly. Is it a little better though? I'm not sure what else I can do it. I see more green in yours. Did you switch it from Landscape to portrait or something like that? ... I'll keep playing.

Playing is exactly how you learn. I played with color correction and sharpen mostly. It looks really good just needs a bit more sharpening

Side by side... I'd say it's pretty darn close! Thanks so much Chito!
(Just noticed your bird's eye is sharper than mine) EEeerrrrrrrrr
