Stink Bug? C&C welcome

Here is a picture of a little guy I found while I was sitting in the lawn. I just found him to be absolutely fascinating and played with him for a while. After I found out what he was I'm impressed I didn't leave smelling funky. I just love his colors. The little guy didn't hold still very well, every time I got him where I wanted and "click" he'd be in a different spot. Guess I'm not fast enough lol. I wish you could see the orange on him as well.
Oh Well. Still think he was a pretty nifty little fella.

Cool bug. Although I don't think it is a stink bug. If you have an iPhone may I suggest bug db it is a pretty good app for IDing bugs. I use it all the time for my macro shots of bugs I have never seen before. As for c&c wish the bug was either facing the camera or perpendicular to the camera. I think it is best when you can see their eyes and the photo ia on the same plane instead of from above. Just my 2 cents. Happing shooting

Definitely not a stink bug! Green stink bugs are fully green and looks like they have a shield on their back. Their "shield" is super hard too! I killed one in my house once not knowing what it was - talk about STINK!!
That bug is cool though but I do agree that I wish I could see it in a different position.

yeah the little bugger wouldnt hold still, though I did look it up and it says its a stink bug. I have never seen one like that before. But oh well.

I believe it might me an immature stink bug...not positive though

You're right. I looked it up and it is a young stink bug! Ewww! They look cool (the one you took a picture of at least) but boy do they stink. I'd recommend not touching them! They let out that nasty smell when disturbed.
