I remember going to Billy Bob's in the stockyards in the 1980s. It was unbelievably BIG. It had 200 bartenders. There was a bullriding ring in the bar, but it was hard to find. Merle Haggard bought everyone a shot of whiskey one night and the total was 40 gallons of whiskey. Everything is BIG in Texas!

Great Restaurants. About a block away, Esperanza's, a Mexican Restaurant near Joe T. Garcia's tourist restaurant, is pretty good.

BTW, you can sometimes go to Grapevine and ride the Grapevine RR to the stockyards. They go back again at the end of the day. Kind of a fun trip if you like riding trains.
