Hi there,

I've been stomping around London again and taking on board some of your previous comments from the first pics i posted. I've really been enjoying it and with soooooo many places to visit and options available i'm gonna be busy for some time! Please find a few more with any pointers welcome.....

Pic 1 - The Millenium Bridge F14, 25 sec and ISO 200
Pic 2 - The Lloyds Building F16, 25 sec and ISO 200
Pic 3 - Not sure but it looked pretty cool - F18, 13 sec and ISO 100
Pic 4 - London Bridge again but from a different angle F18, 20 sec and ISO 100

:lmao: .......maybe it's the Tower Bridge then.....cricky, can't believe i managed to get that wrong, especially as i work just round the corner!!

The London Bridge is quite boring. I'd much rather see the Tower Bridge.

I think you may have some white balance issues. Try cooling the temperature and see if they look better.
 
^That first one in B&W looks fantastic!

Thanks mate - London's a great place to take pics....

I know. I was there when I was 16 years old. London, Paris, Ireland, Scotland, Norway...good times. Would give anything to go back... Had no interest beyond basic photography back then...alas...:grumpy:
 
good start but you need to work on your composition. the pictures of the buildings are from angles that you would see if you just walked up to it and looked up. not interesting at all.

The bridges are poorly composed. Having the buildings directly behind the bridge makes it too distracting and cluttered. You need to have sky or water behind the bridges...

keep working on it, im sure you will figure it out.
 
Thanks for the pointers on the composition.....certainly something i can work on!! i need to walk around my subject first before taking the first decent angle i see......
