C&C welcome. Thanks for looking.

I like the simplistic nature of the shot ... though I keep thinking that there is something lacking.

I like how the paper looks like it could actually be a larger stone.

Paper...Rock..Where's the scissors?

They're so lame. I belong to the Society for Putting Things Underneath Other Things. We're much better.

I could not understand the comment by Ken nor the reply by sleist :grumpy:
About image; the edge of the paper should have been included so that even without reading one feels what the background is; i feel the arrangement looks a bit artificial; i would prefer a side by side arrangelment
You mentioned this to be a B&W treatment; yet color remains; did you retains color selectively?
The overall neatness of the image is very impressive

I like the shot and the crispness of the texture. I am not sure about the almost square crop. Do you have a version with a 2:3 aspect for comparison?

It's not clear what you are trying to convey in this image, and hence to me it doesn't really work for me...

Hi All,

Thanks for the comments. You have a point with respect to composition.
I hadn't used the macro in a bit and was doing some test shots. This one caught my eye and I took it as far as I could.
I liked the end result given where I started. I think this may be worth looking into further with a bit more planning ;).

Thanks again.

Someone asked about a different crop.
I'm not going to recrop this shot, but here's the original.
