Hey, don't knock your equipment -- it got you a cool photo. I don't even notice the fringes, because the subject keeps my interest.

You bet! Sometimes we do with what we have.

I'm kind of surprised at how few people seem to interact on this site. Is it because I'm new here?

There are a LOT of posts here... it's easy to get lost in the shuffle.

I didn't mean my posts - you have been making sure of that! It seems like most posts have a huge number of reads and very few comments.

This, unfortunately, has been happening more and more as of late, I'm not sure why. Like you said above, people are still looking at the images, but very few are commenting. Not very long ago there was much more interaction here.

About the image, the green colour and the texture of the water are beautiful, despite the purple highlights. I assume this was a difficult exposure due to the whites on the water. Can you tell us your settings? Also, tell us more about the cheapo zoom :)

I really love it. Great catch if you ask me.
I would maybe add some blue to the sky. and a darker shade of blue to the water. Maybe the highlights would blend in then.

But i get the feeling you dont like to mess much with with the colors.
