Use a black permanent magic marker to go over the logos and shoot from the waist using live view. Get a small high quality camera such as the Sony RX100 with 1.8 capability and a large sensor.

This comment really makes me think youre creepy. Dont be creepy and do street photography.

I confess that I don't see how this follows. He says that this is the kind of thing he avoids.

Really I was just messing with him since he took my first comment so poorly. FTR I was not calling OP creepy. I give that same advise to all people who are trying to bust their street photography cherry. Like Ralph said people pick up on your vibe and it can creep them out cause you think your doing something wrong.

But I do wonder why he even said that at all. OP please do not respond to why. Its cool bro. Probably just some BS but never repeat that to anyone.

For me, the start of street was to "shoot from the hip", this was a less intimidating way for both the "taker" and the "taken".
Funny, it is like a drug after that, and you become a little more brazen as you go.

After that it became exciting to get the eye-contact of the "taken", take and move on, chimp later if you like.

Now I find it easier to be "given" an image rather than take it (find interest and ask to have it). This is definitely more social, but not as exciting.
I'm am not weird or pervy, but I find people in their natural habitat really fascinating.

Ultimately, think how you would feel being one of the "taken", it doesn't really hurt, and it's over in a flash.
