A few from my morning strolls through downtown. I make it a point to buy some breakfasts, talk with those down and out, and offer a handhout when i can.

I really like the first and the third one. Especially how the color is in the 3rd one. The second one I find that it's too "in your face" but maybe that was your intention. Nice detail on it though.

BTW, I am not intending to hijack your thread but I really want to ask how you did the colors on the 3rd one. My experience with software is cropping, rotating, adjusting contrast and saturation. Other than that, I have no idea how to do that. It looks like there is a portion of the photo that's colored but the rest is B&W. I am not sure if this is PS or LR. Can LR do that?

Again, I don't want to hijack your thread but would love to know this info. Thanks.

Togs don't always have to invest in the subject as you do. I seldom did, but it is nice when people care and offer a little help to another in need.

The in your face was intended, as we sat down about two feet from each other to talk. I have many more of him. His name is Jonathan.

The color on the 3rd is a bit if desaturation and kick up the clarity a little in LR4.

I do try to make a little difference if and when I can. While homeless folks or people who are down and out do make great photographic subjects, there is no need to exploit them. They are humans too. Give a little in return, even if it's just conversation and a a few bucks. Many of them suffer from mental illness and can't get their lives in order. Nothing wrong with taking photos; just do something in return.

Karma can be an ass kicker sometimes.
