RSPB Fowlsheugh Puffin 1.2 by Mark Coull, on Flickr

This is my 2nd year visiting RSPB Fowlsheugh in trying to get that well lit puffin shot, well after many attempts it finally happened on Sunday afternoon! A puffin appeared on the slope below bathed in the glorious sunshine. Roughly 2-3 meters down the slope, I spent a few minutes photographing it, until a Razorbill came along a literally kicked it off the side.

Anyway this was taken with 100 ISO, that's right 100, the lighting was that good my camera only needed 100 ISO. Literally noise free and the detail is incredible. Very happy!

Great shot and what a beauty of a bird.

Pretty bird, unusual. Wonderful line draw, clarity, and color saturation from that glass. That lens is stellar and you sure know how to use it.
