Sub-$200 128GB CompactFlash Memory Cards

Has anyone used the following 128GB CompactFlash Memory Cards from RiData/RiTek? My sole experience with this brand is with their blank CDs and DVDs.

I learned about these really "low" cost memory cards from another forum when I asked about 128GB CF cards selling for under $200.

Not buying from them as it means import duties charges if I ship em to where I am currently at and I have found the local distributor.

Robgalbraith.com benchmarked the RiData 600x cards performing within a permissible range. I would assume the 1000x, 800x and 400x will be as consistent, hopefully.

Note:

- Not associated with RiData, RiTek or their resellers
- Just want to get end-user feedback for this sub-$200 128GB CompactFlash memory card from actual owners.
- Yes, I know the maxim of not "putting all your eggs in one basket". Same was said back in 2003 when 128MB (Megabyte) memory cards were $100 and 1GB cards were $1,000.
- Not spamming forums. I just want end-user feedback. There are no reviews on RiData's 400x, 800x or 1000x lines of CompactFlash memory cards.

Thoughts on the 128GB & 64GB Transcend CF cards? It appears RiDATA has no representation here.

I have a couple transcend 64gb cards and haven't had any issues. Haven't jumped to 128 because I haven't had the need. I get about 260 minutes of Hd video record time on a card so I hardly switch more than once a session.

I have to wonder at the real 'need' for 128GB memory cards. I use strictly 16GB memory cards in my 5D mark iii and get about 300 Large RAW images on a 16GB CF card. So, I carry a pair for 16GB cards with me as I have been known to take more than the capacity of a single CF in an evening event at church.

My thinking is that multiple 16GB cards is probably less costly than a new, maximum-price-you'll-ever-pay 132GB card. You may find that perhaps only 3 or 4 16GBs will fill your needs quite sufficiently, and, give you a degree of 'safety' in case one fails.

Also, get a memory card holder for the extra memory cards. I bought one that is appears to be waterproof, likely to float, and, is a bright iridescent lime green color so I can easily find it buried in my camera bag.

I don't shoot much video with my camera, so I don't really feel that I need a card bigger than 16gb. I have two of them and a 4gb card that was given to me by my parents.

Most cheap high capacity CF cards arent flash, but MicroDrive in disguise (Slowwwwwww) . I got caught out by this back in the day
