"Sunflower Memories"

I've been photographing this old abandoned farmhouse for several years contemplating the memories it must hold. Wondering about the family that lived there and why they moved on kept me coming back through the seasons. Each year the old house sags and leans a little more as if time itself was weighing it down. I know someday I'll drive by and it will be no more. At least I'll have my pictures.

The windmill and the abandoned house in the background provide a perfect contrast to the beautiful sunflowers. This is a great shot and I hope you keep returning to photograph this landscape in the future.

What a picturesque spot! The disintegrating windmill, in addition to the great abandoned barn, adds a lot to the image, as do the black eyed susans. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
