Abandoned buildings, abandoned memories and urban renewal

These are from Vinh in Vietnam. The flats were built by the East Germans in the 1970s. Each time I go back more are demolished and the residents housed on the new blocks that go up in place of the old.
You can see from this photo someone is still holding out and hasn't moved yet.

I am sure once these memories were very precious to these people, but that time has passed.
