I loved the way the clouds looked on the evening I took this shot. C&C welcome.

That bright blown out sun kills it for me. The darker clouds should be masked in with some of your lighter exposures to make it look more natural. The dark left side of the road has lost detail.

Still cool clouds though. I'd give it an 8 outta 10.

The cloud formations are cool. But unless you've had nuclear blast near this place in the recent week, I think the soot-covered look on the clouds isn't doing the photo any favors.

Shooting directly at the sun in light like this is always going to be technically challenging in camera and in software. There isn't quite enough DR to bring down the sun.

Actually, there was a nuclear blast right when I took this shot! (Heh-heh!) I realize that shooting directly at the sun isn't always going to make for a good shot. In reflection I probably should have turned the aperture setting down a bit to keep it from blowing out the shot.
