Nice colors! I think you could crop some of the foreground out. My eye is immediately drawn to the distant city and bright band of light. The dark foreground just doesn't have enough to keep interest.

With all the brightness in the upper areas of the frame, it does not balance with the darkness at the bottom. Brightness inherently has more power than darkness, so if it was to be partially bright and partially dark, then the proportions should correspond to their relative weight in the composition.

This is a beautiful shot imo. I don't think it is in any way off balance, I think the juxtaposition is what makes it awesome.

I agree. That makes sense. Thanks for the feedback. My background is in Video so photography is kinda new to me, hence so is cropping lol.

It's something of an enigma; not well-balanced, as I wrote earlier, but at the same time it is fairly static as well. So is it balanced too well? LOL!

I really like this shot. I can understand the comments about it not being balanced due to the dark and light contrasting areas. However I feel that is what makes this an amazing shot. It has those contrast. I'd love to see this as a large metal print, even one that covers an entire wall.
