Like the first silhouette, level the horizon a bit and crop the water tower from the left hand side (doesn't look right touching the edge) and it will be a great shot.

I like the first one quite a lot. The second to me the tree in the foreground is to overbearing. In the first as Jeff said above I might level it a bit, but adding to his comment on the water tower, I think I might try to clone out everything above the tree line in the background for a clean view of a beautiful sky.
