These are from the top of the fire tower at Gile Mountain in Norwich, VT. I did a little post-processing in Lightroom, mainly trying to get a bit more exposure into the foregrounds and increasing contrast in the sky and ridges to accent the rows of hills.

One issue that I feel I have fairly often is that detail tends to get washed out and noisy (especially when viewed magnified). It starts to look a bit more like a painting and not the crisp detail that I love so much about good photography. I'm using the bottom barrel Canon 75-250mm telephoto on these, but the issue happens (on a lesser extent) with my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 as well. Thanks in advance for suggestions!
