Good sunset imo. Im not sure about the bird though. seems distracting and draws my eye away from the sunset

Personally, I like the bird. Gives the idea of dof!

The subject of the shot was the bird and the sunset was simply meant to enhance the background. I have plenty of shots of just sunsets. I wanted a bit more in this one. Thanks for the C&C guys, more is always welcome!

If that's what you were going for, i'd say you've fulfilled it

Crop to remove the dead space in the sky to eliminate the centered horizon and I think you've got a nice photo there!
