In #2 verticals are real strong (& I think the subject)and if you have any reflected trees at bottom, why don't you see how that looks

Clip trees or bare boring sky. Pick the less of two evils

Second one for me, though I wish the DOF extended to the first post. Second one is just too hot, would be much better without the sun. It is really hard to do anything with a sun like that. Light is awesome though, on a morning like that, I turn my back to it and shoot away.

Little too much of a crop maybe; love the pattern of shadows in these, to me that's what makes the picture.

Beautiful. The composition on the second one is amazing, I like how the shape of the wood deck draws the eyes right into the organic shapes. Nice job!
