hmmm, depends on what you want. The first one has a CG look to it and would be good for a website or design company's business card (don't as why, just looked that way to me). The real shot, imo, looks better.

Mine wasn't good enough? lol

hmm..... when you say surreal. i tend to think of melting clocks paintings .... not strobe work.. but cool nonetheless

It was great, but it never hurts to have more than 1 opinion (:

I like the color on the first one much better than the second. Not sure why though. I really don't like the second one at all.

I like the color of the liquid in the second one better but I like the contrast of colors better in the first :) I feel like I need to see more of the bottom though, it looks like it's been cropped too short.

choice of colors is more eye catching in the first one, I like the definition of the liquid better in the second.

FYI: English is a screwed-up language...fotography is just fine...photography is correct...but nowadays...who cares...those are both AWESOME photos...I should try to do a drop into some thick lake algae...

Would you tell us what the liquid is...por favor?

I like the possibilities a lot more than the shots themselves. Perhaps add a moon in the upper left corner, and some stars in the sky (either the black or the purple) and it will get more surreal. As they are they tend to leave me still hungry.

Edit = I did quite a few surreal photos in B&W with multiple enlargers set up for one print. A hell of a lot of work... While with color, since I only worked with transparencies, there was a huge degradation of the image quality with each layer added.

Digital was made for surreal work :D
