I like #1 and #3. I feel like #2 has just a tad too much contrast and the bike itself is a little underexposed.

yeah i think #2 would have been really great if you could have gotten the bike lit up. as is, its too dark for me.

thanks guys....ill make sure i think about it next time.

They are not bad. I think #2 would be really good with some lighting. I agree that the bike is just too dark, but I like the background. They all seem soft to me.

How do you mean soft? In the lighting? I'll try make sure I take things a lil brighter next time :)

#2 and #3 are underexposed, they bring out the florescent colors beautifully but makes the picture look dark.

By soft I mean not very crisp and sharp. Were you using a tripod?

#1 is a no no selective color is the pits

I did indeed use a tripod...from comments on another thread of mine someone said the same thing and suggested turning the IS off if a tripod is used.

Yes you have to turn it off when on a tripod. I don't remember why exactly....I think the manual explains it a little or someone else can chime in on that. Also, try stopping down a little to maybe f/5.6 or so. Most lenses are not the sharpest when wide open. Another way to help with long exposures is to use the timer or a remote shutter release so that you don't move the camera when pressing the shutter release on the camera.

Yea I will learn from and turn it off next time. I just always assumed it was a good thing all around. you know what I totally even forgot about the timer! I'll certainly remember that too! wow there's so much to do and not do...after only a few months or so seems like I'll never remember everything! Haha

yeah there is a ton to remember! I don't think anyone stops learning in photography. Just keep it up and repetition will make it become habit.

#2&3 are blue/purple. Did you purposely adjust color tone?
