Swan

This is a shot I took with the new lens at the conservation area. These huge gorgeous creatures were in an outdoor enclosure amongst a nice stand of trees with this pretty little stream running through it. There were little bridges about every 20ft or so, I had to wait for them to pass through this area a couple times to time it right and not get the bridges in, they just complicated the shot. Finally one cooperated and gave me this nice little drip

Love the drop you caught. I might clean up the twigs in the water right by his head. They're a little distracting.

Mishele, thanks, I debated on taking them out, I will give it a go.
Definitely going back, it is about 15min from home and one of the locations where the eagles have been sighted! It's a great place to practice and learn, kinda like shooting fish in a barrel lol Next time I will go during the week instead of on the weekend, a family pulled up the same time we did and the kids proceeded to run willy nilly yelling towards the pond and all of the birds went a ways off shore and just floated there... doing nothing... watching the silly humans lol

Oh and I love the drop too Mish, I got one without it and the drop makes the picture imho.

Lovely shot.. but a bit dark. Maybe do a little selective dodging and burning? Tried to not lose any detail...
