T-Max dev, 1+9

Thanks, timor, for giving me the small push I needed to finally try this, lol.

I think I'll be using T-Max dev this way from now on.



Kentmere 400 (AKA - the grain factory), pushed 2 stops to 1600, developed in T-Max dev, 1+9, 18 minutes:

That is from a 12 exposure test roll to check times. I think it worked out OK. Finding times for K400 is difficult, and times for pushing it nearly impossible, so this was a sort of experiment. I'm glad that it seems to have worked out OK.

I'll have to submit my times to the Massive Dev chart so others can try it too...

If Rodinal was the 3.5 horsepower cast iron briggs and stratton, T-Max dev would be Deetroit Diesel, for when you really want some grunt.

Ha ha ! Like it ! K400 somehow can't produce nice grain with fine grain developers. But acutance is good. Get the borax and try Thornton's system, it will improve grain and help with compensation. If I can get grainless 11x14 from Eastman 5222, K400 could be tamed to.
