t1i accessories?

Im going to get the rebel t1i tomorrow. and an accessory kit that includes 8gb class six sdhc card, uv filter, remote and bag.

This is my first dslr and i was wondering if i need any other thing that would be crucial like batteries filters hoods etc.

depends on what you planning on doing...

if you don't know, you prob don't need it yet.

when the need arises for you to get anything, just get it then...

i cant speak for shooting video, but for taking pics my xsi had no problem taking well over 1000 shots over the course of several days before reading half on the battery indicator. the 50d i took out one day and shot puppies in rapid fire mode and ended up with 782 shots with no dip in the battery level (though thats with a battery grip and 2 batteries). the t1i i would imagine would be somewhere along those lines so i'd hold off on looking at an extra battery until you figure out your usage pattern to see if you even need it.

A key word there is 'good'. The same applies to a Speedlight (hot shoe mounted stobe, a.k.a., a flash).
