Tahica 135mm prime lens....what to do with it?

Going through a box of old handmedowns I discovered a lens that looks like it was barley used. An Auto Yashikor 135mm prime 2.8. I did some surfing and could not find whether this would be possible to adapt to another camera. It looks like it was kept in time capsule lol. Any gurus here that could help shed light on it? The focusing action fells solid and smooth....just not sure how i can test it to see it even works

The lens uses an M42 mount. That means you can easily adapt it to Canon EF or Nikon F.

(There may be better adapters available. These are just examples of what to look for.)

A word of warning, though. You need to be careful when adapting lenses on a full-frame camera. When you put the lens in the adapter, focus from infinity to the closest focusing distance. If the lens sticks out of the back of the adapter then you may have a problem with the mirror hitting the back of the lens. If that's the case then you may not be able to focus to infinity with the lens. More than likely your lens won't have this problem or you're using a crop sensor, though.

Nice! I saw the mentions of M42 but I did not realize that was the mount type! Thanks for the insight there, that is great!
