I saw this B&W background in another thread you had and gotta say..... it ain't working. For me, it draws more attention than the subject.

I don't mean to be jumping down your neck, but having the background including the abrupt transition from floor boards to wall is not very attractive IMO whether it's just the wall or the B&W background. A seamless sweep would be a huge improvement.

As far as the lighting, I think you needed, at the very least, a reflector. Look at the shadows under the chin. Very pronounced in 1,2 & 4.

And remember, it's okay to rotate your camera 90°.

I thought there was a bow on her head in the last three images, but I was wrong. It's just the background.

The wallpaper is sideways...the chandelier design on it looks rather odd, with the "bottom" of the chandelier positioned to the left...that just looks bad. It is also an exceptionally distracting pattern.

Why is the background the wrong way round ?

The chandeliers are laying sideways. Sorry not a comment just commenting on gsgary

it is sideways because if I didnt put is sideways it would be too skinny.
this is not going to be my setup, I am just testing the lighting and needed something sort of cute....
