Yeah, I'd say it really is pretty good for a p&s. Pretty sharp and low on noise, hard to achieve with a p&s when it comes to nightshots.

You're more of an artist than I am.

The camera, of course, does not produce the photograph. The photographer does. The only thing that the camera does is provide limitations for the photographer to overcome.

Yep it's a snapsot of a bridge at night with a P+S.

That's kind of how I felt. The technical quality is very good from a point and shoot but something about the composition really bugs me, and I can't even figure out what. There's a lot of green stuff in the lower left 1/4 that really isn't adding anything, for starters.

If you look at the bridge and the base of the threes you can see that the picture is not straight. I think that this explains a bit of the ackwardness of the picture. Not a bad picture though....

Anyway, didn't I just see another thread where you've upgraded to an SLR? If so, that will help a lot with these types of photos.

Used a tripod, of course, and self timer to avoid camera shake.

f/8, ISO 80, 30 sec. Exp.

I want the Simon Cowell version too....Id rather get ripped apart and learn than get a sugar coated soft let down and not get anything out of it.
