I am stuck in between these two lens tamron 17-50 2.8 or 90mm 2.8 ,so here goes my question -

I want to shoot still/macro and HDR(wide) and portrait's also (my son) I am confuse between two lens tamron 90mm2.8 and tamron 17-50 2.8
I know these two lens are not comparable, it is a matter of your personal choice, but what i am asking here is what would you buy if you were at my position ? in simple word which will be more interesting to play with and long last interesting
, so please suggest me should i really go for 17-50 or tamron 90mm as i already have 18-55 DX ,will 17-50 will give me much wide angle ?

or you have any other lens category to suggests
my budget is 20,000INR(450$)

I highly recommend the 17-50. I bought it instead of a kit lens and although I have bought several lenses since, it is my workhorse. It's good for portraits, and wide enough for landscape, and it's pretty sharp throughout. The only thing I don't like is that when the hood is on in shooting position, you cannot put the lens cap on (you can put the lens cap on when the hood is attached backwards for storage).

If you want to shoot macros, go with the 90mm, if you shoot more in the wide angle side, go with the 17-50mm.

I bought the 17-50mm lens before I bought my 100mm macro lens. But it is your call since everyone are different.
