Looks good, fully buzzword-compliant. Large 82mm filter thread front. Aspherical elements, super ED type glass, etc. Probably will be very good for those who like that kind of lens

Agreed. Too early to tell, but if it meets expectations, I'd be way more likely to pick one of these up than the Nikon version for hundreds more (which hurts, as I'm an unabashed nikon fanboi).

Still, I have to admit that if I pay attention and take my time, I do better with my 50mm 1.8 prime than with my "swiss army knife" wide-to-tele" zoom.
