Tattoos and Baby Bumps

I can't comment on exposure or anything (on my phone), but I dig the mood and concept. Also, I especially like the way the light is hitting her belly, you can see the outline of the baby. Very cool :)

I do love the composition, and the lighting for the most part. I'm going to differ on my opinion of the highlight on her stomach, though, I think it makes her stomach look misshapen. Or maybe the baby was in the middle of a big kick, I don't know, but it seems like something is about to rip its way out. Then again, it could just be the moody lighting that is making my imagination run away with me :-P.

I don't find this shot to be fitting of the "Dave Hill" style of processing. Maternity shots should be soft to the touch and elegant... Not harshly lit and grungy. There's no need to accentuate the discoloration in her stomach due to her pregnancy.

Frankly, if my girlfriend had a maternity shoot with another photographer (other than myself), and it came back with this type of processing, I'd be offended.

That's my opinion though.
