Nothing technically wrong with it, a simple point and shoot image. I would have looked for a better background.

Definitely a better background, and have his hand not at his crotch. Otherwise seems well lit and well shot.

A bat and ball, or glove and ball, would give him natural places for his hands. And, as already mentioned, a less distracting background, or on the diamond itself. The backstop, and dugouts are great backgrounds for baseball photos.
