Telephoto Sun!

I've been experimenting with some long lens shots of the sun just as it breaks the horizon. It is trickier than I though it would be. Using a monopod and holding steady is hard enough, but positioning, bracketing, etc. all within just a few minutes before the sun becomes too bright to shoot makes it a challenge. Advice, critiques, compliments, would all be appreciated.

Advice? Use a sturdy tripod with cable release instead of the monopod
