Although Luang Prabang has become a mecca for upscale tourists, there is still glorious beauty to be found amongst the hotels, gift shops and other tourist claptrap

The old city of Luang Prabang is a real jewel, once one gets over the tourist stuff.

I think this would have been a stronger shot either by shooting the center building "tall" or cropping out the partial building on the right.
