Nice capture.

The cross on the right touching the edge is a problem for me.
I'm not sure I would have made the same choices with respect to mono conversion, but that is largely subjective.
Plus I have no idea what you were working with for the original shot.
Feels a bit harsh (midday sun?), but maybe that was what you were going for?
I would have tried to soften that with the conversion and maybe some burning.

Try to think about matting and framing when you shoot (even if you don't print).
Give the image some room to breath.
Pulling back just a bit would have helped this I think.
