The Angel

Well really two since its a similar shot but slightly different, not quite sure which works the better (if either work at all of course ). So here are both, be interested to hear others views and thoughts on them, as always:

Composition I think the "Angel" should have been on the right side. When I look at it I see an angel, face pointing upwards, so these pics have extra frame behind the subject.

What are these? Fireworks? Pretty sweet

I think they are both beautiful, but I like the second one better.

Agree with others about needing to put the figure on the right. The second works better for me because the highlights are spread out over a larger area and are more complex in shape.

Ahh good point indeed, guess I missed that possible change since I don't normally adjust the framing of a shot outside of cropping the original.

Well, there is a lot of black in the shot. Maybe you could paste what you have on a black square and re-crop? I do like the second one too - the figure is more apparent.
