^^ Well, seeing that you posted here... Not bad for a beginner!;)

Thanks for the entertainment!!!
:lmao:

I have surmised that:

RockstarPhotography is hot,
MissCream could probably rock his world 9 kinds of sideways,
Schwetty has a stirring in his pants caused by MissCream,
and Bitter... well.......

And since none of all this had anything to do with the original topic, I'd just like to say that just because the Toyota Prius is economical and environmentally conscious, doesn't make it 'gay' - but the rainbow sticker and the drag queen driving it does.

Hey all I'm new to the site in general and learning more and more every day about my camera. I just upgraded from a ..... Sony a230 to the Canon Rebel T2i and let me tell you I LOVE IT!!! I still have TONS of questions and am eager to learn I also have a HUGE LOVE for Photoshop CS5!

I'm drinking heavily right now.

<= has come to the conclusion that I don't know how to post photos on here.... :(

what site is most popular for newbies to use to post here?

I'll pose a question.

Why are newbies reluctant to post comments on images from members that are supposedly "seasoned" ?

AFAIK, they also possess two eyes (except for Dead Eye), and grey matter between their ears. Their opinion is just as valid as anyone else's. It would mean they would have to get out of their comfort zone, perhaps use the knowledge they have gained from the Beginners forum and actually participate in the community as a whole. Just because a member may be long standing doesn't mean they do not want/need/crave the feedback. IMO, they are just being selfish and cliquey.

Bitter Jewler is an exception to this phenomenon.

Exactly, everyone just needs to realize that if someone pops in and says "Man all of your subjects are placed off center in your photos. Have you tried centering them and adding a huge vignette?" it should just be ignored. Doesn't mean a troglodyte shouldn't interject their opinion.

Kundalini, I had a similar observation. Many people new and old, only post to get answers to their questions, and rarely respond to others, or only come here when they need something rather than regularly reading the forum, and learning things even if before they need to. I rarely ask questions because I have already seen the answers before I even needed to know. I have been amazed how many members that have been here for a year or more, have asked about color space issues, even though the question was answered a week prior, and 50 times within the last year.

This forum is an amazing resource, but many use it not as a library of a wealth of information, but as a place to go to get an easy answer withought having to work for it. Research allows for the greatest understanding of a topic, but I see people just want the bit of information that solves their current problem, and they move on, without that greater understanding.

You Kundalini, are a great example of someone that has taught me a great deal about lighting, by reading your posts to others, and using diagrams, such that I don't need to ask the basic questions repeatedly asked here.
