There are many and varied manufacturers of lighting equipment. What sort of lighting are you looking for, Flash or Ambient?

For Flash lighting the most elite and supposedly the best (and most expensive) is probably Broncolor. Can't help with ambient though you would probably be best asking for that on a Video/Film making forum.
