The Birds........

Obviously you didn't read the thread where we showed you how to make a novelty Meysha-shaped bird feeder (using squeezy bottles and sticky-backed plastic).

And for everyone else.... they weren't supposed to look like pecked out eyes.... they were enlarged in photoshop.... but the blue disappeared. :-(

Blue Peter is a childrens TV show.... and not that most adults will admit it but probably for them also. Think its been running for over 40 years or something, and as Hertz put it, their key phrase is "Here's one i made earlier", simply because everything they showed kids how to make, you could bet a nickel they already had it made up

Here's something that might be some use ;)

And everything was made from sticky-backed plastic, squeezy bottles and loo rolls - with the ocassional coat hanger thrown in for good measure.

Mmmm... Valerie Singleton....

Plastic that had a sticky back. It had a few trade names but the BBC aren't allowed to advertise so they made their own names up.
The commonest SBP was Fablon. In the 60's it became tres chic and coffee tables the length and breadth got covered in the stuff.
This will give you some idea as to how attractive it is:
