The Coffee House

Help! Somebody needs to stop me!!! 😂 I got a bridge camera for an upcoming trip, and I like it, but its a 16MP bridge camera with OK picture quality, but no RAW imaging. I've been admiring photographs of a local photographer and have always wondered about what kit he was using. Well, I found out today; he is using a Sony RX 10 Mark IV, a lightweight 20MP bridge camera, and now I want one as my travel camera... 😂 Honestly, I need to be satisfied with what I have.

First of half a dozen , the planter stool/stand in place with pot plant in place.
The big brown pot on the right was my test weight last night.

You must be a cat and think that I'm a vase to be pushed over the edge... 😂
Nope just reevaluated my thinking. I've already outlived my father by 12 years. According to the actuaries, I've got a 75% chance of living another 10 years, and only a 33% chance of 20 years. I finally realized I deserve to enjoy some of my life work.

That makes sense, and you aren't the first I've heard say that. My wife is terrified that I'll retire "early" and get an RV so that I can travel the National Parks around the country.

Do it nowif you can, we had planned to split time on the road and at a base. We did get several years of use out of our RV, until medical problems made it impractical.

If you can go for it.
When my mrs was alive she was very much of the mind as long as there is enough to pay the bills then if we wanted something go for it.

After selling all my Nikon gear 6 years ago I picked up The Sony RX10 M4 and I now have two of them... :onthego:

The best cure for GAS is a purchase!

In all seriousness though, you can pick that up used for about 1k. Not cheap, but not crazy expensive either. If something I really want is not in my immediate budget then I usually find the money - skip a couple of dinners out, sell a lens or piece of equipment that I don’t use any longer…

Good morning Hosers! I've been looking at MPB, Adorama, and B&H. I have a little bit left in a Fidelity portfolio that I'll probably clear off the books. When I got the Kodak, the idea was to give it to one of the grands after our trip, but maybe that will happen earlier. 😎

Yesterday was a horrible day weatherwise. It hit 103F and was still sitting at 100F at 8PM... can't even sit outside "in the cool of the evening..." It does drop down to the upper 70's at night, but who wants to sit outside at 3AM?

Sounds like us. Currently 78 degrees, with 96% humidity. Hopefully as it gets warmer some of that humidity will burn off.

Personally I love that idea! I'd likely be daring you to do it. No help there!
