I joined a new photo group on FB for my area. Looks like about a dozen joined all women. I can't make the first meetup because I am taking Homecoming photos the day before for grand and her friends. So will be busy editing the next day all day for a fast turn around. There are other commitments that week and Sunday will be the only editing day for me.

Anyway, the group is meeting at a farm at 11 am which is not the most optimal time for models. I prefer the golden hour. Hopefully, there will be more meetups.

On a global photo group on FB a portrait photographer posted she is now using AI to edit all her photos for faster turn around time. The comments are more No than Yes on using AI to do all your edits. I can't imagine using AI to edit even if you could plug in your style.

Groups are always a crap shoot--pardon the pun! They usually morph into tiresome hierarchies. Sometimes too much gear a$$-sniffing. Mostly chemistry determines whether you "fit." Had my fill of "clubs," since I'm an inconstant herd animal. Been with an informal but stable meet-up group for 10+ yrs. Seems the antithesis of the maladaptive tribes I've abandoned.
