Unrelated, but wanted to share. As I was driving to grab supper, I drove by a little restaurant locally. Their owners are the salt of the Earth. About the nicest kindest people one could meet. Both are up in years.
Their tiny restaurant looked spectacular in the afternoon light, and the gorgeous cloudy sky, so instinctively I stopped, and decided to ask if I could take a picture. Owners were busy preparing the meal for tomorrow, but they gladly agreed.
As usually, I had the wrong camera with me, but made do. Caught Mr. J coming out the door too, as a sort of impromptu portrait.
Store to print and buy a frame and mat, came back with a gift for them, and they were so appreciative!
They returned the favor by gifting me some just harvested loofahs! Turns out in Asian cuisine, tender loofahs are edible and fried, or prepared in soup.
In my culture, food is sacred. To give and share food, is to give and share one's very best.
I was deeply touched by their generosity.
Goes to show, photos matter.
But, we all already know that.
Anyone ever eaten loofah?
Kind regards, y'all.
