No blood thinners but T2. Thankfully it's non-insulin.

I've cut down on sweets by a huge amount, so I'm hoping that will help. Also cutting back on certain types of carbs. Once upon a time, sweets were a special treat, but now we can have ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if we so choose.

Morning meeting in Toronto. Happy to grab an early breakfast stool with friends at King's Noodles on Spadina--one of my old Chinatown happy places. Yup, too much: salt, FAT(bbq duck and pork), sugar, empty calorie carbs. But there were some greens and verifiable proteins(forgot the sliced preserved egg).
Definitely health-injurious but what am I saving myself for?

Happy Friday, hosers!

Our cold snap is well over, so of course the warmer temps are bringing clouds with a few showers. I think I'll be staying in and messing around in the art room, between loads of laundry. Yuck.

Anyone have actual FUN plans?

Kinda fun. Spring clean-up Phase One at the family ruin, probably light rain. Looks like the ancient rescue roses(a rambler and the notorious "French Biatch" from last season are digging their second spring--very pleased.

We were cool earlier in the week, but yesterday and today have been absolutely gorgeous. Temps in the mid 70s, slight breeze, and no pollen. Tomorrow Lil'Bit coming over, going to check out the Strawberry Festival.

We had a new front lawn put in this week, and it is looking good. An older guy and his wife spent the entire day laying down the sod, but they rocked at it. Now we are having some nice rains, which should help the sod settle. This weekend will be indoors, because, yeah, rain.

Chilly and rain potential tomorrow; 80s, possibly 90 on Sunday and Monday. I want to go to northern Maine.

Going to be nice and seasonal here this weekend. Sun and clouds, temps 50-60, no rain. I have a garden chore list a mile long that I won’t bore you with.

Harlie and I have come to an agreement on putting the ointment in her eyes. She won’t squirm away if I keep the tube out of view and use my finger to put it in her eye instead.

Morning all, least ways it’s morning here lol
Rain here today which put pay to the days plans and putting the washing out. 7deg C here at the moment. Stopped using the tumble dryer, the elec bill. Was !!! Power wise I am In the last stages of making the garage into my workshop, the solar panels are up batteries and inverter wired in. Today I hope to have another try at fitting the 12v lights, this time without the falling off the steps.
Then 90% of my power needs will be from solar power, just a few odd electric tools that just will not run on the inverter or are just to powerful, wattage exceeds the output of inverter, but they are few and not often needed.
So my woodwork projects are “ green”

Well this time all went well no falls I will have to replace the battery in time as the current one is well past it’s best

I gave MLW a break and went to a DogFest with MLSIL. This sweet girl likes to lean against you.

Got in a walk at the watershed this morning before the rain. Spotted a dark blue heron. Tomorrow taking photos of the 2nd grand's birthday party at a cake decorating bakery. I'll shoot a little video for her vignette. I asked daughter how big is the room. Sometimes my 50mm is too long so I'll take the 28mm. The 28mm isn't as sharp but should give me more room.

Hosers, it's a glorious day. My pair of Mallard ducks has returned!

No pics, as they landed in the backyard, discovered the cracked corn by the birdfeeder, then waddled behind the neighbor's garage before I had enough wits to find my phone.

I'm so happy they returned. Great way to wind down the weekend.

Beautiful day here as well. Today I've been lazy, ate a big lunch, and found the recliner.
