Nice set Joel :) I like the contrasting colours in the first one. The pink flower is gorgeous perhaps remove the pink in the top right corner and leave your subject as the only pink?
I really like your DOF in the last one :)
Your light look softer this time around, inquiring minds want to know, overcast or umbrella? ;)

Judi, thanks so much for your advice as I always take it seriously. This set is the 3rd, and last thread, all from the same outing last Friday. The light was better because the clouds (and the darn wind) started to roll in. At this point I just waited till both a cloud diffused the light, and the wind died down enough to take the picture as DOF was critical in all of them.

The 1st picture I was very conscience about the contrasting colors, as I usually go the other way of mono tones. I think it really worked out well. As for removing that pink flower, I'll try, but Nikon Capture NX doesn't have a cloning option, you need to do it with what they call painting. Should be interesting to say the least.

This is my favorite time of the year, as everything is blooming in bright colors that haven't been bleached by baking in the sun.
