The Corpse Plant - the one that smells like rotting flesh.....

Yes the smell is horrible, its 9 feet tall, about 8 feet around at the widest. For those of you that dont live near our nations capital.

Nice shots. Yeah I heard there were a lot of dissapointed people today. By the time they were allowed to view this plant the smell was gone. Reporter talked to one little girl asking her what she smelled and with a bummed out expression said "nothing!" LOL

Yeah, it wasnt that bad. When someone would walk into the green house, the air from the door opening would bring the smell around. Not something I really want to smell at full force......

A local conservatory had one bloom this spring...it was 'big news' for a couple days. (must have been a slow news week).
A girl I know was the 'spokes model', so I hears all about it (on Facebook).
