Love the lighting on those little weeds. Looks almost surreal; like you used HDR yet it really works. Makes me think of some type of Dr. Suess animals all having the wind blow their hair.

Yeah I saw the grass tufts from the road and slammed on the brakes. Was lamenting having no where to shoot the sunset so it worked out well.

Im glad it works, its from a single exposure. The dynamic range of the D800 is really impressive.

I like this a lot! I would be curious to see what a little less blue and or magenta would look like in the mountain and/or more contrast there too. May not work, but worth a try.

I love it when we are graced with that kind of light!

I agree, I was going for a trade off between as low to the ground as I could while still showing the depth of the field.

I wish sunsets lasted longer, then we'd have more time to play with scenes.

This is lovely.

The only quibble I have is this: I think it would be a stronger image if you reduced the foreground and increased the sky, or vice versa. Let one or the other be dominant, and the other be secondary. They're both good, so it doesn't matter to me which. Maybe you shot those too, and just liked this one the best, though?
