This is lovely.

The only quibble I have is this: I think it would be a stronger image if you reduced the foreground and increased the sky, or vice versa. Let one or the other be dominant, and the other be secondary. They're both good, so it doesn't matter to me which. Maybe you shot those too, and just liked this one the best, though?

Yeah I totally understand what your seeing, it bugs me a bit too. I lined up the third line on the top of the mountains, but now the horizon line is nearly dead center. I tried to lower the contrast on the distant trees but perhaps it didnt work as well as intended.

This was my best overall image for coler etc, perhaps there is some photoshop magic I can do to swap in more sky.

Great! You might consider cropping just a bit off the left to get rid of some of the empty sky there.

Great shot, fuzz. A low to near-ground perspective would have been good to really show off the grass tufts and texture of the ground.

I agree, I was going for a trade off between as low to the ground as I could while still showing the depth of the field.

I wish sunsets lasted longer, then we'd have more time to play with scenes.

Head north! The further you go the longer the sunset will be. I was up in the Northwest Territories last June and the colours from the sunset carried right on into the sunrise four hours later!
