Hi everyone,

First post here for me. And this post is about one of my favourite subjects: desert.
Whether sand or stone, I love the feeling when lost in endless landscapes.

Hello Cédric!

Both are good, however the second one has more interesting composition and combination of lights and shadows at the desert sand.
What is going on with the sky on the second picture (its a shame that it hasn't single color - intensive blue - same as the first one has)?

Additionally the sign on the down left corner of the second picture is stealing attention and it would be better (IMO) if you place it in the one of top corners.

Which desert it is?

Regarding the differences in terms of colors, the second one is taken earlier in the day (sun not completly up). The photo below was taken at roughly the same time as the first one:



I agree with you regarding the watermark.

Regarding the first photo, I like the purity / simplicity of the lines.

The desert is Sahara and the photo was taken in Erg Chigaga (south of Morocco) during summer. Most photos were taken between 6.30 and 9 am. After this it is simply too hot to move

The third one is good however I don't like the horizon line which is kind of messy. Additionally the central composition (most interesting topic is located in the center).
