good point...I hadn't see his tail as a problem and still am not sure that I do. Having said that, What you think is as valid as what I think when we look at the image so I completely recognize your niggle with it. I wanted the DOF and the tail focus was the trade off. I could however lower my angle of attack and lose the tail behind his body which may add interest and intrigue to the image. Thanks for spotting that, it made me think and perhaps give me one more piece of insight into good composition
Love the shot! I can attest to how hard it is to get decent shots of these guys! I agree, maybe next time a slightly lower approach so the butt doesn't stick up.
