The end of still photography...

I'm going to go back to making Daguerreotypes. I think Fox-Talbot screwed up photography when he invented the neg... ;-)
 
I hope they still make film and the "end" would not happen in our generation.
 
What Matt says has real possibilities. Unless of course a new technology unknown to us now comes along and . . . who knows.

I'm not sure people will eventually care "HOW" (camera or camcorder) their wedding, graduation or portrait photograph was captured, they will ultimately care about the end product.
 
say you want to get a photo of a flower- you dont really need to stand there for a minute filming it and then pic the best shot out of it when you could just pull the camera out- set it up perfectly on the camera, take 3-5 frames and have something you really like. I can't really see thsi taking over photography
